Luxor 3 is a sequel to a well known Luxor series. It’s an action puzzler in a Egyptian decor. Luxor series became very popular due to it brilliant sound effects, graphics and superb gameplay. And the third part is a very good addition to this brilliant saga.
The story of Luxor 3 begins with the death of a young pharaoh. He can’t go to afterlife until his pyramid is complete. And now his spirit must help the gods to defend the realm from Set’s (an evil deity) minions.
The core of gameplay stays similar to first part. You’ll move a winged shooter (located at the bottom of the screen) sliding your mouse left-right. Onrushing hordes of colored spheres are pushed by scarabs around circuitous levels. And your goal is to prevent them reaching a end-level point. To do this you have to match three or more balls of similar color which makes them to disappear. You can match balls by shooting colored balls upwards. You shoot with left click while right click can change a color of ammo.
But, of course, there are some innovations in Luxor 3. For example canopic jars you collect for access to bonus stages. There is also an interesting concept of reflectors off which balls are bounced. There are also a set of new power-ups which joins a common one (slow, reverse etc). There is a sandstorm that destroys a really huge amount of balls or a scorpion scattering across the level and destroying everything on its way. You can also collect coins which can be spent between the levels. You can upgrade power-ups or purchase new ball sets.
But the most interesting innovation of Luxor 3 is a new game modes. It offers you an Adventure mode, where you can watch how your pyramid slowly grows or Onslaught mode, which force you to destroy randomly appearing statues that speed up balls’ progress through level. In a puzzle mode you have all the time to clear a level but only a set number of balls to do it. There are also three more game modes: Crossing the Nile, Survival, Treasure Hunter.

Nanda's Island is an unique puzzler. An entire island became a desert and all animal except the young panda Nanda left it. You goal is to help Nanda to recover life on island. To do this you have to provide seeds with water. So your goal is to get water drops to the seeds. You guide the drops by lines you draw on the screen. The level is complete when the water meter under the seed is full. If you fail to fill it you have to replay level. To fill the meter you have to use logic to draw a well-placed line.
Level difficulty advances nicely and become a bit harder after each level. The challenge is the fact that you have only ten seconds to make a decision where to place lines. On higher levels you’ll meet some other obstacles, for example rocks on the drop’s way to seed.

Almost two year pass since the release of Jewel Quest. It's one of the most popular match 3 game of all time. It's not a simple task to create a good sequel for such a hit game. But it seems that iWin succeeded in it. Neither the gameplay nor the tale of Jewel Quest 2 has grown stale. Main character of the game is Rupert, an antiques hunter. His story is told in the form of diary entries with the compelling force. There many themes in this story, such as adventure, love and greed.
In the very beginning of the Jewel Quest 2 we find that Rupert's love, Emma, has left him for the wealthy fop Sebastian Grenard. Rupert is distraught and he leaves the university and goes to Africa in order to continue his quest for the ancient relic known as the jewel board.
The gameplay stays similar to the first part of the game. Your goal is to match three or more relics (jewels, masks, charms etc) to remove them from the game board. The squares under the matched relics will turn gold and the relics will disappear from the board (and news one slide into place). To complete the level you have to turn the entire board gold before running out of time (or moves).
There are, of course, some innovations in Jewel Quest 2. There are new tile types and new special moves. For example buried jewels are partially encrusted in rock and have to been matched twice to turn square gold. There are also relics that have to be matched three times and the relics which are completely hidden by the rock. So the only way to figure out which relics are needed to match with it is by trial and error. There are also golden coins which can be matched like any other relic. Matching them will grant a special move to gamer, which can be very useful in sticky situations. Such moves can uncover a hidden jewel, turn any square gold, remove any jewel from the board etc.
The single player mode (Quest game mode) in Jewel Quest 2 includes more than 170 levels. Completing each of them reveals a new diary entry to player. Rupert's quest is only the part of the game and your journey will include narratives from Emma, Sebastian, and Rupert's sailor companion Hani. There is also a special bonus Super Hard mode which is unlocked after the game is finished.
Single mode will keep your occupied for a some time, but the main feature of Jewel Quest 2 is the new Tournament mode. It makes replay ability of the game almost infinite. In Tournament mode you can compete against real people online. Your goal is to score the most point in a timed round. There is an online table of rankings. Jewel Craft is another release from in a popular "match 3" genre. But it's a very original game, not just another clone. Your character in Jewel Craft is a young apprentice in ancient Persia. You're working as a boy under the king's chief jeweler and your job is to cut gems from stones and create a pieces of jewelry from the. There are two game modes in Jewel Craft - Story and Challenge.
In story mode your screen is split vertically into two sides. On the right you can see a piece of unfinished jewelry which require gems of different colors and size. On the left side game board is placed filled with 64 square stones. Each side of square contains a gem of different color and one side is turned up. By clicking on the edge you can turn it over.
When you match three gems or more you can cut them from the stone and place it on the jewelry. A new stone appears on the place of the used one until they are out of reserve. In Jewel Craft If you run out of gems before finishing jewelry - you lose.
If you match 3 or more gems and do not need them in jewelry you can power up a series of bonuses. There are different kinds of them - possibility to re-arrange the stones on the board, possibility to turn more than three stones before a match (so you can match more than three gems).
