Cradle of Persia is not just a typical match 3 puzzler. It’s also an interesting trip into the history of one of the oldest and most storied civilization.
At a first glance the things look similar to common brain teaser. Each level consists of the game board covered with tiles. Each tile has an image on its top – there are coins, flowers, logs and so on. You goal is to remove all squares from the game board. To do it simply drag your mouse over groups of three or more similar pieces (tiles can be matched horizontally, vertically or in any linear combination). You have to clear the board before the time runs out.
But in a campaign mode the gameplay of Cradle of Persia is much more that matching tiles. You will advance your civilization through different historical epochs, from age of the Achaemenid Empire to periods of Turkish and Mongol Rule. You can advance your civilization by building different structures – such as farms, wharves, harems, cities and gardens. You can construct buildings among levels by purchasing them with recourses. You earn resources by removing tiles. Each of them represents one of type of resource (gold, supplies or food).
Such features add additional levels of gameplay. You will no just race the clock but also think about resources. You can choose to use dynamite power-up to complete level faster or remove tiles manually and earn more resources. Extra bonuses such as a citizen or cow stimulate you to match tiles in combos. New buildings grant access to a new type of resources which can be more useful. For example a tile with a cup of milk drawn on it provide more food that a fish-shaped one.

With a bit of help from Yeti, Reindeer and Elf, you just may discover the truth about Santa before the holiday's ruined.
If you've played any of the hidden object adventures Magic Academy, Mysteryville or Mysteryville 2, you know exactly what to expect in their holiday-festooned younger sibling. Dialogue-based cut scenes are interspersed with item hunts and various merry mini-games to tie the disparate elements together into a cohesive whole, telling a humorous (bordering on corny) tale while challenging you to solve the various mysteries that ensue. A single, timed mode of play is provided, but more than sufficient time is offered to solve the game's puzzles and mini-games. You can also replay completed stages at any time.
As with most seek-and-find games, Christmasville is all about locating various objects buried in the midst of rooms overflowing with a menagerie of mostly out-of-place junk. While not every location is a complete muddle of accumulated paraphernalia, it's still pretty messy by most folk's standards. It's from this accrued collection of hundreds of bits and pieces that you must extract the necessary goods. Click on an item to select it, but avoid random clicking. Too many haphazard mouse presses will result in a time penalty.
Hidden object puzzles are comprised on three basic varieties. The first requires that you locate objects from a grocery list by name. For example, an abacus, toy soldier, horseshoe, pineapple, paper fan, bowling ball and reindeer. Second is a variant that supplies you with just the silhouettes of objects that you must identify by shape alone. Then, there are hunts where you must find all items of a certain type such as wrapped presents, bottles or letters of the alphabet. Finally, you have searches based on locating objects that differ in two almost identical side-by-side scenes of the same location.
Christmasville also offers a variety of mini-games to punctuate the object-hunting action. Included are games of Concentration-style tile matching, jigsaw puzzles where objects are simply rotated in place as well as those requiring more traditional piece relocation, matching pairs of playing cards and word scrambles to rearrange letters and unscramble notes. Nothing extremely original appears, but it's all entertaining nonetheless.
So, what can you expect in this holiday potluck of gaming? Here's a for-instance. At some point you need to meet Ear. Actually, Ear is Bear once you locate the missing "B" from his name in a find-all-the-letters puzzle. But, to reach him in the first place you need to uncover a whistle at Elf's house, and to do that you have to perform several hidden-object searches followed by a hunt for some missing instructions. Once the document has been located, you need to unscramble it so you can use the whistle to call Reindeer, who then takes you to Ear, err, Bear. However, before he can do that you must locate a hidden map and then reorient all its pieces so they make sense. By the way, Reindeer will need some magic potion to recharge his flying ability, too, so you'll need to collect all the bottles in Elf's house before he can fly you to your destination. And, that's the gist of play.
A fun-filled way to begin the holiday season, Christmasville features attractive visuals and snappy music. It provides an enjoyable mix of hidden object puzzle types and more mini-game varieties then much of the competition. The story and characters are a bit on the silly side, but it flows well. And, with 20 stages of play and multiple levels per stage (around 80 levels in total), there is a fair bit of play in store - about three hours sans the dialogue.
And speaking of dialogue, there's way too much in comparison to actual playtime. The cut scenes drag on interminably, but at least you can skip them if you wish. More significantly, though, the puzzles are simply too easy. Most take, at best, take a little over two minutes to complete for an accomplished object-hound, and some under a minute. It really screams out for an adjustable difficulty setting.
Still, if you're in the mood for some holiday fun and you simply can't get enough hidden-object fare, Christmasville may be worth the investment. It's easy, but not abominably so, and somewhat en-deering. Go ahead. Download the demo and give it a try for your elf.

Your have to slide runes inward from the lower left and lower right sides of the platform to create blocks from three or more runes of the same color. Such blocks are removed from the board. It’s not such simple as it seems to be. You need to rotate the board to access its other two sides, continually spinning it to find the best combos. In addition levels are time limited, though you can play in a timer-free mode.
There are two types of runes – common and unique. To complete the level you have to remove all unique runes from the board. Removing all runes (both common and unique) will give you more scores. There are also some special stones. Rocks are indestructible, two-colored runes can be matched with runes of either color, multi runes can be matched with any color (and some more). You can collect bonuses by sliding rune into them. With bonuses you can gain extra points (Golden Coin), add time to the clock (Sundials), eliminate all in a straight path with Crushers, destroy the tallest column with the Lightning (and there many other bonuses). During the play you can earn different trophies. For destroying 1000 runes you will receive the Golden Chain, Volcanic Crystal is an award for earning 1,000,000 points. You can receive up to 15 different awards.

The gameplay is very addictive and challenging. You have to create heavier and more powerful spheres by "sucking up" surrounding energy balls. But you must keep their container balanced. The heavier the balls become the more container “wants” to tip to one side or the other. To make ball heavier you need to absorb two or four neighboring balls of different color. Each time you manage to do it, the weight of absorbing ball increases. But you have to keep container balanced – as balls increase in in weight, they also cause the container to rotate. If the bucket rotates too far and exceeds its balance range, you lose a life. You need to preserve balance by creating balls of near equal weight on each side of container.
As you create heavy energy balls a wiper crosses the screen removing these balls and adding their power to an energy meter. To complete the level you have to fill energy meter. But some special balls are not wiped. By reaching a weight of 10 a ball becomes Megaball, at 20 a Gigaball and at 50 a Hyperball. These balls create additional energy which can enable a bonus level at a level’s end.
As you progress you obtain special bonuses and abilities. In example when you create a group of four balls of same color in a 2x2 grid you can click on this Block and each orb instantly gets a weight of three. This is the ability to create Blocks. An Overdrive bonus lets you to multiply your points – your score becomes 2x if there are at least four Megaballs in play and the score is multiplied by four if there are seven or more Megaballs on the board.
In addition to levels with balls Ballhalla offers 10 interspersed photo-based puzzles. When you complete a normal level you are awarded with several square puzzle pieces. When you collect enough pieces you must put them in a correct order on a 4x4 grid.

Today we are presenting Diner Dash: Hometown Hero - the latest sequel to PlayFirst's well-known Diner Dash franchise. Flo comes back after her cruise adventure and finds her town looking like a dump. And now it’s up to her to rejuvenate the town.
Diner Dash: Hometown Hero follows the recipe of making a good sequel – it’s keeps the core format similar to previous games which made the series popular but adds more and more new features, levels and layouts. In this sequel we have new different restaurants where Flo is taking customer’s orders, taking their orders, collecting tips and is responsible for seating customers until closing time. You advance to the next level if earnings during the day are more than a specified value. But of course it will not stay so simple for a long. With advancing during the game you’ll find with more activities for which is responsible in the restaurant. She well snap pictures for tourists; push tables together for large companies; set down flower vases and so on. It’s hard to control everything for a single person so you can hire an assistant. But it’s not as relaxing as it seems to be – the assistant serves customers for her own, so it’s brings a friendly competition to the game.
In Diner Dash: Hometown Hero each type of customers has its own quirks. Mother carry babies on their laps and they will cry until you bring a high chair. Teenagers are keen on chatting on their cell phones – this drives other customers crazy and you need to place them away from teenagers.
Flo starts with the restaurant in the zoo and moves on to the museum, ballpark and other locations. You can improve the interior of the restaurant, upgrade equipment, floor, tables and other aspects of your business. More customers will visit your restaurant in response to such improvements.
But your also can customize the main character of Diner Dash: Hometown Hero. You can choose clothing and accessories for Flo. And one of the most interesting improvements in the game is the design of your own restaurant. You can develop your own area, play through it and even share it over the internet with other players.
There is also a multiplayer mode where you can challenge with other player to see who can earn more money. If you like team play more there is also a co-operative mode.
